Stephen Crowley’s performance as an innovative school leader of three very different government schools in England was recognised early in 1995 by the Office for Standards in Education where he was invited to train as Registered Inspector of Schools. By the end of 1999, he had led the inspection of more than 50 schools across England. 

In 2000, Stephen was appointed Senior Inspector of Schools in the Cayman Islands and subsequently organised a variety of workshops, at London and Harvard Universities, in addition to education conferences in Mexico and Brazil.

Stephen returned to the challenge of school leadership in 2005 as the principal of a prestigious all-age, co-educational private school in Mumbai, India – after which he moved to the UAE to lead a team of 70-80 education advisors on an ambitious Public Private Partnership Education Reform Project with Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge. 

Stephen was appointed Director of the School Evaluation Unit at Beaconhouse in 2014 and is currently Chief Evaluation and Quality Assurance Advisor for the Beaconhouse Group.
